Horse Visits
"There is something about the outside of a horse that is good for the inside of a person." ~Winston Churchill

I felt at peace when I was with the horses. I forgot about cancer, chemo, and thoughts of death.
I talked with the horses, brushed their dirty coats, cleaned hooves, fed them peppermints, mucked stalls, and gave them my love. The horses were like medicine as I felt the connection of my heart to the horse’s steady beat.
I was alive.
I was present.
I was awake.
I was grateful.

For me, horses are magically healing and I’d love to share that power with others.

What Others Have Done
Watching
Sometimes just sitting and watching horses do what they do can have a calming effect on a person. Their hearts can influence us even from across the fence. Just ask horse people and they'll tell you, "There's just something about a horse."
Brushing/Grooming
Just sitting with the horses and taking care of their basic needs like grooming can be very therapuetic. If you're more of a busy-body, it can give you something to do while you just take in their presence.
Mucking Stalls
For those that have the strength, mucking stalls can be therapeutic. There's something about cleaning up the crap in a stall that makes it easier to manage the crap of life. Mucking stalls is predictable and has an end where the messy get clean and that feels really good, plus it's good for the body.
Talking
Horses are great listeners! They naturally absorb what we project on to them and they take it with grace and strength. They can carry our burdens, will respect our privacy, and are ALWAYS fully present.
We Come to You
When you don't have the strength to come to the barn, let us bring the horses to you! Ask us how!
