IEP was established in Portland, Oregon in 1992 as a division of the Institute for Traditional Medicine (ITM). We offer low-cost, traditional-style medical services including acupuncture, moxibustion, shiatsu (Japanese massage), herbal formulas, nutritional supplements, and naturopathic consultations. Treatments at IEP are intended to be an adjunct to standard medical care that is received elsewhere. Our efforts are an aid to pursuing personal health practices—exercise, diet, stress-reduction, and other good habits—to help alleviate symptoms and improve emotional and mental health. The clinic presents a format for treatments that is different from most private practices, as outlined below.
Dragonfly relieves the emotional, relational and practical challenges of cancer. At our core, what we offer is community, the feeling that you are not alone during this alien, isolating experience that strips even the closest and best-intentioned family and friends from your ranks. We live to provide understanding, support, resources and opportunities families will rely and reflect on for years to come.
KOMAK is an all voluntary Portland area non-profit providing financial assistance to cancer patients who are unable to work during their treatment. Through volunteering and donations, Michelle's Love's Mission is to help relieve the stress of single parents undergoing cancer treatment. Our organization strives to ease daily responsibilities by offering financial relief, house cleaning, and meals, allowing parents more time to heal and spend with their children. At Mesothelioma Hope, we understand how difficult it can be to support and care for a loved one who has been diagnosed with cancer. As a primary caretaker, your efforts and sacrifices are truly admirable. However, we also recognize that it can be exhausting and overwhelming. It is essential for caregivers to find support in order to avoid burning out. Feel free to check out our caregiver's guide to find some activities that focus on the caregiver’s emotional and physical well-being!
